The five men who were arrested by NIA in connection with the IS conspiracy were given a respite on Thursday from regular interrogation due to Ramzan.

The NIA had arrested the five men, Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, alias Ibbu, Habeeb Mohammed, alias Sir, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani, Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi and Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan last month and had taken them into their custody on July 1 for 12 days with the court’s permission.

They are kept at a secret location in Shamirpet on Saturday and NIA sleuths visited places like Delhi, Rajasthan, Nanded and Anantapur along with the arrested men for collecting evidences and for scene reconstruction.

During the grilling, it came to light that the five suspects had stayed in a lodge at Anantapur a few months ago and planned to procure sophisticated weapons. Besides the NIA, all major investigation agencies like the IB, RAW, Maharashtra’s ATS and other agencies have also grilled them in the last seven days. All the five men were brought to Hyderabad on Thursday from Anantapur and NIA officials gave some rest to the five men due to Id.

They allowed two people to visit the accused at the Shamirpet NIA campus. Around 10 people visited the campus and spent time with the arrested persons. NIA officials allowed them as per requests made by families.

However, the NIA sleuths did not allow the relatives to offer them food brought from houses. But, they gave a chance to the relatives to prepare food at the NIA campus. The NIA officials provided material and ingredients for making Biryani and Shirkurma.
