The police had earlier claimed leads in the case with the arrest of eight members of the Santosh Jha gang, however, there has been no development since.
Meanwhile, several construction companies fearing threat to their lives and businesses have started approaching the police for security cover. According to Navyuga Engineering Company, “engineers working on the project are feeling unsafe without adequate security cover”.
The company is currently engaged in the construction of Ganga expressway and Marine Drive. Officials of the construction company had sent a letter to the police department including Senior Superintendent of Patna Manu Maharaj to provide security for their employees.
