The man was protesting against a recent ban on the sale of country-made liquor and raised slogans against the same.

: A drunken man recently created a ruckus in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district by risking his life after climbing atop a 11,000 watt electric tower.

The drunkard, identified as Bukkey, was staging a protest against a recent ban on the sale of country-made liquor and raised slogans against the same.

He was noticed by local residents who informed the police immediately.

Fortunately for the man, there had been a power cut in the area when he climbed the high-tension pole.

He was brought down by power department and police personnel after an hour-long drama. The rescuers had to pull the drunkard down to the ladder and eventually carry him as he refused to cooperate.
