The war of words between Pakistan military and the Indian government, the Pakistan military on Tuesday claimed that detained Indian national Kul Bhushan Yadav, whom Pakistan claims is an Indian “spy”, was a serving Indian naval officer who converted to Islam to “foment terrorism” in Balochistan and Karachi. The allegations were swiftly rejected by India which said its enquiries reveal that the man, “was being harassed while operating a legitimate business from Iran”, and that “his presence in Pakistan raises questions, including the possibility of his abduction from Iran”.
While Pakistan military released a video of Mr Yadav purportedly “confessing involvement” in terror activities, New Delhi said his statements clearly indicate tutoring and the statements were false.
