Woman molested by priest in Odisha
The accused gave the victim a spiked drink, following which he molested her and recorded the act.
Bhubaneswar: A temple priest allegedly molested a married woman in Odisha’s capital city and made a video of the act, which he then uploaded on social media.
As per a complaint lodged by the victim at Mahila police station here, Saroj Kumar Dash, the accused priest, had promised her to provide a loan against gold ornaments.
When the woman went to his house for mortgaging her gold ornaments, Dash offered her a spiked drink.
After consuming the drink, the woman fell unconscious following which Dash molested her and recorded the act with a mobile phone.
Using the video, the priest later blackmailed the victim for having physical relation with him. However, the woman rejected his demands.
The accused eventually sent the video to her husband, relatives and friends via Facebook and WhatsApp. The police has started an investigation into the incident.
