Bhopal: A 10-year-old boy was taken away by a tiger from his huts in a village in Madhya Pradesh late on Monday night.

Harshes Tikam’s body was found in the bushes near his house in the village of Jholidhana under Chhindi forest range in Chhindwara district, the police said on Tuesday. According to the police, the tribal boy was taken away by the tiger when he was sitting in the veranda of his hut.

His mother followed the blood trail, while searching him, to trace his body in the nearby bush being guarded by the tiger. She raised an alarm leading other villagers to gather there. However, the tiger disappeared in the forest when the villagers marched towards it. He was the fourth child to have fallen prey to the big cats in Madhya Pradesh in the past two months.
