Hyderabad: The proposed YSR Congress public meeting at Hyderabad on October 19 is surrounded in controversy. After the YSRC president, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the public meeting at Hyderabad, in the name of “Samaikya Sankharavam”, the YSRC on Tuesday announced the date as October 19. But all the Telangana leaders from the Opposition parties opposed YSRC to conduct the public meeting at Hyderabad. TRS warned the YSRC that if they conduct the public meeting at Hyderabad, the “Mahbubabad incident” will be repeated. TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, speaking to the press on Tuesday, questioned: “Does Jagan want to repeat the Mahbubabad incident ” He said if YSRC conducts the public meeting at Hyderabad “anything can be possible”. Harish Rao, warned the YSRC against holding the public meeting at Hyderabad to avoid the repeat of Mahbubabad incident. Meanwhile, the Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao, speaking to the media at Delhi, said they will not allow YSRC to conduct the public meeting at Hyderabad. BJP leader and MLA Nagam Janadhan Reddy, questioned the YSRC on what is the purpose of holding the meeting at Hyderabad. He alleged that it was for gaining political mileage. Meanwhile, the YSRC leader and former minister Konatala Ramakrishna, speaking to press expressed disgust saying that if a party is not able to conduct a rally in its state capital, it is unfortunate. He said, the venue of public meeting will be selected according to everyone’s convenience and it is the right of every political party to organise a public meeting at any place of their choice. He gave a call to the supporters of united state to extend their support to the public meeting.
