The Congress on Tuesday slammed senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar for linking Christian missionaries working in Chhattisgarh’s conflict zone of Bastar to Naxals. “The Sangh should have no objection if people belonging to a particular religion worked for the welfare of local people in a remote area,” Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman S.N. Trivedy said. Reacting to Mr Kumar’s demand for transparency in activities of Christian missionaries and churches functioning in the Naxal areas, Mr Trivedy wondered why the Sangh leader did not make similar demand in the functioning of its frontal organisations.
