Starting a poster war with the BJP, the Congress has put up hoardings across Kanpur, questioning the “chaal” , “charitra” and “chehra” of the party.
The Kanpur Congress committee posters, coinciding with the first visit of BJP state president Keshav Maurya to the industrial city on Wednesday, show Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and state party chief Keshav Maurya.
Talking to the reporters here, Congress city president Hari Prakash Agnihotri said the party wanted to question the “chaal” (strategem) of Prime Minister Modi because he had not fulfilled his promise of ‘achche din’ to the people.
“His speeches and promises are proving to be hollow and people are getting disillusioned with him”, he said.
The Congress has questioned the “charitra” (character)of BJP president Amit Shah and has termed him as the mastermind of the Gujarat riots and the Ishrat Jahan encounter.
The Congress has further questioned the “chehra” (face) of state BJP president Keshav Maurya, claiming that he has 11 criminal cases pending against him.
