Passengers aboard Delhi-Bhubaneswar GoAir flight GOW-161 had a narrow escape following a bird-hit while attempting to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) of the Orissa capital on Thursday morning. More than 100 passengers and crew aboard the plane are safe. The incident came to light during the post-flight inspection after a bloodstain was found on the wing of the aircraft. While the plane was scheduled to return to New Delhi at 8.40 am, the return journey was delayed for more than an hour. It finally left for New Delhi after a thorough inspection by engineers and technicians and clearance by the authorities.
