A day after Bihar was declared the fastest growing economy by a Niti Aayog report, co – chairman and trustee of Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, Bill Gates, met chief minister Nitish Kumar and discussed issues related to the health sector.

Speaking on the issue, the CM said his government intends to work closely with the Gates foundation “to accomplish health, nutrition and human development mission goals”. Further, Mr Kumar termed health and nutrition as “critical markers for state’s progress”. He also assured Mr Gates that he was willing to make structural changes in sectors like public health services.

Highlighting his seven point determination for development of the CM during his meeting with Bill Gates said health sector was his government’s top priority and he was committed to fulfill “human development mission goals”. Mr Kumar said he has directed his officials to ensure that targets are achieved within given time frame.
