: An army jawan was injured on Wednesday when militants opened fire on their vehicle in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Militants opened fire on a private vehicle hired by army for patrolling at Tharina village in Shopian, 52 kms from here, resulting in injuries to one soldier, a police official said.
He said the injured soldier was rushed to Army hospital at Awantipora.
Further details of the incident are awaited, he added.
