The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has granted bail to Aman Mani Tripathi, son of jailed politician Amar Mani Tripathi, in connection with a case of the kidnapping of a businessman. The court has directed the accused to surrender his passport and an assurance that he would not try to influence the witnesses. He would also make himself available before the trial court without seeking unnecessary adjournments. Aman Mani Tripathi was arrested in July 2015 after a contractor accused him of kidnapping him and dem-anding Rs 1 lakh from him.
