BJP notice to Rahul Gandhi for making false claims

Jha also said Mr Gandhi made a 'false' claim that BJP national president Amit Shah was a murder accused and sought his apology for the comment.

Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday sent a legal notice to Congress president Rahul Gandhi for making “false” claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought a legislation to attack tribals in the country.

BJP national vice-president Prabhat Jha in his notice sent to Mr Gandhi said the Congress chief while addressing an election meeting in district headquarters of Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh on April 23 said a law legislated by the Centre said tribals can be shot at.

Mr Gandhi has made false allegations against the PM to tarnish his image and he should apologise within three days to avoid legal action, the notice said.

Mr Jha also said Mr Gandhi made a ‘false’ claim that BJP national president Amit Shah was a murder accused and sought his apology for the comment.
