Indore: BJP general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya on Saturday asked why those who had returned awards to protest against intolerance were silent over the death of 25 CRPF jawans in Chhattisgarh, and called for "unmasking" of Naxal sympathisers.

"Why the people who had returned their awards (to protest against intolerance, in 2015) are mum? Where are they now?" he said, speaking to reporters here.

"Where do the human rights activists disappear when the Naxals kill 25 jawans?" he asked.

"There is a need to unmask the people who, in the name of human rights, have sympathy for Naxals and terrorists," the former Madhya Pradesh minister said.

It was worrying that a section of society had drifted on the path of violence in Chhattisgarh and Jammu and Kashmir, he said, adding that social activists should make the people aware of perils of terrorism.

This will help the government crack down on terrorism and Naxalism, he said.
