New Delhi: India is “disappointed” with Pakistan’s response to the (Indian) dossier submitted on the Pulwama terror attack since Islamabad “has not shared details of credible action, if any, taken by it against terrorists or terrorist organisations based in territories under its control” but is “nevertheless, examining the paper handed over by Pakistan”, Indian government sources said on Thursday.

On another issue, sources also said New Delhi was aware that a “draft has been initiated for consideration of (United Nations) Security Council members to list (terror outfit JeM chief) Masood Azhar in the sanctions regime as part of international community’s efforts to fight against terrorism”, adding that it “will not be appropriate for us (India) to comment at this stage on a process which is entirely within the parameters of informal discussion of the council and its members”.

Sources said India’s position that Azhar should be designated a global terrorist was well-known.

The Pakistan-based JeM had carried out the Pulwama terror attack. Pakistan on Wednesday said it had shared its preliminary findings on the Indian dossier with New Delhi and had sought “additional information and documents” from India.

It may be recalled that China had recently blocked a proposal at the UN to designate the Pakistan-based Azhar as a global terrorist.
