New Delhi: Exodus from N. Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP continues as three of its leaders from Telangana joined the BJP on Thursday.

The regional party, which lost Andhra Pradesh to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP and lost four Rajya Sabha MPs to the saffron party just few days back, lost three senior leaders from Telangana, who joi-ned the BJP in presence of its senior leaders, inc-luding P. Murlidhar Rao.

TDP spokesperson Lanka Dinakar joined the BJP on Wednesday.  The BJP has been aggre-ssively wooing leaders from the TDP and other parties in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Former ministers in undivided Andhra Prad-esh—E. Peddi Reddy and Boda Janardhan—and former MP Suresh Reddy of TDP joined the BJP at its headquarters.

Along with them, senior state Congress leaders M. Shashidhar Reddy and the party’s minority cell leader Sheik Rahm-atullah also joined the BJP.

They were inducted into the saffron fold Mr Rao, who claimed that only his party is capable of “fighting the TRS' misrule” in Telangana.

The Congress is helping the TRS and people see the BJP as a stable party which avoids family and caste politics, he said.

Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS had won the assembly polls last year with the Congress emerging as the main opposition party. However, the BJP put up a surprising show in the Lok Sabha elections this year, winning four of the state's 17 seats while the TRS and the Congress won 10 and three respectively.
