New Delhi: Bolstered by the survey that predicted losses for the BJP in Rajasthan, the state Congress on Friday kick-started “Mera Booth Mera Gaurav” (My booth, My Pride)’ programme, which is part of party’s election campaigning to connect with grassroots level workers.

State unit chief Sachin Pilot addressed a rally in Jhalawar, the home constituency of Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindhia. According to the survey, if the state goes to polls today, the Congress could bag 44 per cent votes as against the BJP’s 39 per cent.

Attacking the Centre for rising petroleum prices, the state unit chief said that it has set a “new benchmark of inflation and its policies have broken common people’s back”.
