Patna: Bihar deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday said that NDA will contest next year's Bihar assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there have been a lot of speculations that the relationship between the 2 allies (BJP-JDU) have soured.

Sushil Kumar, Nitish Kumar's deputy after his statement cleared the air about strained relationship of the alliance, NDTV reported.

He said that a lot of speculation has been going on about the alliance but NDA will contest the polls under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

After getting just one ministerial berth in Narendra Modi government, Nitish Kumar had refused to be part of central government.
