AP minister's wife argues with toll booth staffer over fee

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Minister Pullarao Prathipati's wife Venkata Kumari on Saturday got into an argument with the employees at Kaza highway toll plaza after they refused to pass her vehicle without paying the fee.

This is the second such incident at Kaja toll gate. Earlier, MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar had created high drama by leaving his car near the toll when he was asked to pay the fee.

Kumari was on her way to Vijayawada from Hyderabad in a SUV car with MLA label on it. When she had to cross the toll gate in Guntur district, the toll staff had asked for the fee.

However, Kumari argued with the staff, stating that she is the spouse of a minister.

The manager of the toll plaza managed to convince the minister that the exemption is only for the minister and not everyone who travels in his car. Finally, Kumari paid the toll fee and left.
