J&K: Army jawan kills Major after caught using phone on duty by him
Confirming the killing, Army officials said they are investigating the details of the incident.

Srinagar: An Army Major was on Tuesday shot dead by a jawan in Jammu & Kashmir’s Uri sector over an altercation, which ensued after the former caught the latter using mobile phone on duty.
According to reports, Major Shikhar Thapa of 8 Rashtriya Rifles died on the spot after Naik Kathiresan G shot him five times with his AK-47 rifle.
Confirming the killing, Army officials said they are investigating the details of the incident.
