New Delhi: A caveat was filed in Supreme Court on Tuesday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav-faction member Ramgopal Yadav, against Samajwadi Party's patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and his cousin Shivpal Yadav.

According to the caveat, without hearing the Akhilesh Yadav group, the apex court should not pass any order.

"If the aggrieved party, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav, comes to the apex court for any plea, without hearing our(Akhilesh's side), the apex court should not pass any ex parte order," caveat states.

On Monday, the Akhilesh Yadav faction was awarded the 'cycle' symbol by the Election Commission.

Earlier in the day, the Congress had confirmed that the party will get into an alliance with Samajwadi Party for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

The decision was however, protested by the Congress workers.

Uttar Pradesh is all set to go into phase one of the polls on February 11. The state will witness polls in seven phases where counting of the votes will be held on March 11.
