Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh revenue minister Uma Shankar Gupta on Saturday hurled abuses at a state government engineer in public.
Mr Gupta used “foul” language to pull up Sanjay Barade, an engineer serving in Bhopal Municipal Corporation, for not inviting the Mayor for the foundation laying ceremony of a community hall, to be held on Saturday.
The minister was seen using un-parliamentary words, ignoring the presence of women officers of the corporation while the engineer was seen profusely apologising for his “lapse”.
“I will transfer you to your previous posting. How dare you ignore the Mayor who is feeding you?” the minister said. Later, he called the “commissioner” of the corporation and directed her to transfer the engineer.
