Lucknow: A helicopter carrying UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath to Kasganj on Tuesday was forced to land in a field instead of the helipad made in a school compound.
The copter was scheduled to land on the grounds of the Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya, but because of some technical problems, it was forced to land on a field a kilometre away.
As per reports, the helipad was surrounded by trees which created obstruction for the landing of the chopper.
Principal home secretary Arvind Kumar said that the chief minister was safe and had proceeded to attend his scheduled programmes. The chief minister was in Kasganj to meet the family whose three members had been murdered on Friday by robbers.
Meanwhile, the district administration has ordered an inquiry into the construction of the makeshift helipad.
