MP: Teacher brings revolver to school, scares students

A teacher of a government-run school here has been accused of scaring away students by carrying a revolver with him.

Bhopal: A teacher of a government-run school here has been accused of scaring away students by carrying a revolver with him.

The Bhopal district collector Sudam Khade ordered a probe into the alleged incident following a complaint lodged against the teacher by the parents of the students, officials said on Thursday. According to the complaint, the teacher Kailash Singh Jat, a retired army personnel, always carried his licenced revolver to the school causing fear psychosis among the students.

“The teacher is scaring away the students by bringing revolver to the school. Students have stopped going to school out of fear”, the complaint lodged before the district collector by the parents of the students said.

“I have sought a report from the district education officer (DEO) in this regard. Action will be taken in the matter on the basis of DEO’s report”, Mr Khade told the media on Thursday.
