J&K: Pakistan violates ceasefire in Uri, Army retaliates

Srinagar: Pakistan on Tuesday violated ceasefire in Baaz and Nambla areas of Uri Sector in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian defence forces are heavily retaliating and a major gunbattle is underway.

 

According to reports, a woman has been injured in the firing. This is the first case of cross border firing that has been reported today on the occasion of India's 71st Independence Day.
