Watch: Like Indira Gandhi, Priyanka jumps over barricade to meet public after rally

Bhopal: Reviving memories of late Indira Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra jumped the barricade and met people after a public rally in Madhya Pradesh.

Priyanka met the crowd after her speech in support of Congress candidate Kantilal Bhuria.

As public cheered “Priyanka didi”, the Congress leader wearing a red cotton saree, climbed the wooden barricade and clasped many outstretched hands and smiled for selfies.

Comparisons were drawn to a well-known photograph of Indira Gandhi bending and crossing a barricade at a rally.

Priyanka joined active politics in January but has for years been seen to be a natural at public meetings.
