Lucknow: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will release a 10-point joint manifesto of their alliance on Saturday.

The joint manifesto will be released on the day when polling for the first phase of elections will take place in western UP.

Both the Samajwadi Party and the Congress have already released their separate manifestos, and the joint one is expected to include common commitment of the two parties related to farmers, youth and weaker sections of society.

The need for a joint manifesto is also an assertion that all is well between the alliance partners.
