Odisha: Man kills nephew, arrested

Nuapada: A man on Saturday allegedly beheaded his 12-year-old nephew as a part of human sacrifice for good crop harvest at Jadamunda village under Komna police limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district.
According to police sources, accused Chintamani Majhi (48) attacked his nephew Dhansing Majhi with a billhook when the latter had gone to a farmland around 11 am.
The elder brother of the deceased, who was watching the incident from a distance, raised an alarm following which villagers gathered at the spot and informed the local police. The cops arrested the accused from the spot and a case has been registered.
