Amid rift in MP Congress, Sonia Gandhi summons Kamal Nath, Scindia to Delhi
Sonia, reportedly wants a party chief backs both Scindia and Kamla Nath but it seems highly unlikely.
New Delhi: Sonia Gandhi has called both the leaders separately in order to avoid a dirty fight, news agency IANS reported. Scindia will meet Gandhi on Tuesday in Delhi while Kamal Nath will meet her on Wednesday.
Sonia, reportedly wants a party chief backs both Scindia and Kamla Nath but it seems highly unlikely.
The two leaders are expected to hold discussions regarding the post of Madhya Pradesh Congress chief.
This comes after hoardings were put up in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh last week requesting Gandhi to "not to come under anyone's pressure" and appoint Scindia as Madhya Pradesh Congress chief, news agency ANI reported.
Sonia Gandhi on Thursday sternly took up to all the ongoing bickering factors of Madhya Pradesh unit of the party and asked them to sort out their differences.
There has been, for sometime, a tension between the party leaders in Madhya Pradesh.
