Kamal Nath, Diggy camp dominate MP Congress

The AICC has announced a jumbo PCC for MP with 19 vice-presidents, 25 general secretaries and 41 secretaries.

Bhopal: The reconstituted Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) of Madhya Pradesh, announced late on Saturday evening, has been dominated by camps of state party president Kamal Nath and former chief minister Digvijay Singh.

The AICC has announced a jumbo PCC for MP with 19 vice-presidents, 25 general secretaries and 41 secretaries.

Earlier, four working presidents, one vice-president, a general secretary, a treasurer and two media coordinators have been appointed by the AICC for its MP unit.

In the reconstituted PCC, 33 office bearers said to be belonging to Mr Nath’s camp and 27 leaders believed to be loyalists of Mr Singh have been accommodated. Ten leaders from the camp of Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia have been given various posts in the recast PCC.

Similarly, loyalists of other factional leaders such Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Ajey Singh (4), Suresh Pachouri (3), and ex-PCC president Arun Yadav (2) have found place in the new team of Mr Nath. PCC has retained 35 office bearers appointed during the tenure of the outgoing PCC president Mr Yadav.
