Delhi: Widows, students from Vrindavan tie Modi hand-made rakhis

Anjali, a student who tied the Prime Minister rakhi asserted that she was very happy to meet Narendra Modi for the first time.

New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Raksha-bandhan on Monday, while the whole nation is enjoying the brother sister festival, some widows from Vrindavan tied Prime Minister Narendra Modi home-made rakhis at his official residence in Delhi's Lok Kalyan Marg.

A widow said, "We were very happy to tie the Prime Minister home-made rakhis on his wrist. We have invited him to come to Vrindavan. We poured our blessings on him."

She further shared that it was a wonderful experience for them to celebrate the festival with Prime Minister Modi in a peaceful ambience.

Besides, there were some school students who too tied Prime Minister Modi home-made rakhis.

A student from RBS International School, Anjali, asserted that she was very happy to meet the Prime Minister for the first time.

She further expressed, "The works and contribution by the Prime Minister for the development and self dignity of Indian women is highly appreciable and we as Indians would always extend our support towards the betterment of the nation."
