Lucknow: A local businessman Aayush Singhal has alleged that he was pushed away by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath when he met the latter at the Janata Darbar with a complaint of land grabbing against Nautanwa MLA Aman Mani Tripathi.

“Aman Mani Tripathi has grabbed my land in Chinhat area and has been threatening me with dire consequences.  I have tried meeting officials and finally I met the chief minister. As soon as I narrated my case and named the MLA, Yogi Adityanath threw the papers away, pushed me and said that no action would be taken”, he told reporters.

Sobbing bitterly, Mr Singhal said that his 22 acre land had been usurped by Mr Aman Mani Tripathi who had got his men to pelt stones at his residence when he tried to complain against the legislator.

The businessman said that he had met the chief minister earlier in Gorakhpur too but no action was taken. Gorakhpur district magistrate K. Vijayendra Pandian said that the chief minister, in Gorakhpur, had asked the businessman to come with all relevant papers.

“The chief minister asked all complainants to come with proper documents. Mr Aayush Singhal had come without any papers and his complaint was regarding partition of a joint land”, the district magistrate explained.
