New Delhi: In what would be a first by a serving Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will write a book, dedicated to the youth, in which he will address issues like coping with examination-related stress, and what options to consider once exams are over.

Quoting publishers Penguin Random House (PRH) India, agencies reported that the book will be in multiple languages and become available in book stores later this year.

Through the book, the Prime Minister hopes to befriend students and support them as they prepare for examinations, the publishers were further quoted as saying.

The idea for the book is believed to have come from Mr Modi himself. Following the overwhelming response to his Mann Ki Baat radio show in January this year, the Mr Modi decided to compile those thoughts, complementing them with new insights and anecdotes, in the form of a book.

In his show, the PM had spoken at length about the pressures children face.

“We keep talking about the weight of school children’s bags, but sometimes the weight of parents’ expectations is heavier. Parents should focus on three things: accept your children, mentor them and give them time,” he had said.

Addressing students, he had said, “To cheat is to be cheap” and to keep in mind three things — “Proper rest, sufficient sleep and physical activity”.
