Bhopal: Children’s issues may, for the first time, make into the election manifestos of political parties in 2019 Parliamentary polls, thanks to a novel initiative by some social organisations in the country.

Around 50 non-government organisations (N-GOs) are set to hold a conclave in the last week of this month where they plan to apprise the leaders of major political parties in the country about the need for including children’s issues in their election manifestos and how the issue will prove vote catcher for them.

“We have prepared a blueprint on creating awareness among the leaders of political parties on children’s issues and the imperative to incorporate it in their election manifestos,” said social worker Sachin Kumar Jain
