New Delhi: Addressing a review meeting with revenue officials of the Ministry of Finance here on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the officials to speed up the action to be taken against Benami property holders, according to Government sources.

Taking stock of the Income Tax Department's 'Operation Clean Money', Prime Minister Modi said in order to broaden the tax base; more people should come under the tax net.

Additionally, the Prime Minister also emphasised on the need to implement e-assessment at the earliest so that human interference can be minimised. Further, computerised assessment should be installed in place, so that notices can be issued electronically.
