Bhopal: A spoof video portraying Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as protagonist of S.S. Rajmouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali” has gone viral on social media irking Opposition Congress.
The 2.16-minute video grab while recreating scenes of the blockbuster movie showed Mr Chouhan making his ‘rival’, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, bite the dust in the battle field.
He was seen in the clip performing stunts, leaving Congress veterans such as Sonia Gandhi, Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh awestruck.
In his new avatar in the video, Mr Chouhan was also heard mouthing powerful dialogues, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan. That is me. I will protect the honour, wealth and dignity of people of Madhya Prad-esh. I will not back out ev-en if I have to lay my life”.
Like the protagonist of the movie “Baahubali”, Mr Chouhan was seen lifting a gigantic Shiv Linga and then carrying it on his shoulder, with his specs in place.
Union minister Naren-dra Singh Tomar was portrayed as “Kattapa”, the minister in the Baahu-bali’s court.
The climax scene in the video showed Mr Chou-han charging towards Mr Scindia who played the role of villain “Bhalla-ldev”, and finally defeating the latter in the battle ground.
Opposition Congress on Friday took strong exception to the attempt by BJP to belittle by making the video, saying, “The video is very offending”.
“People of MP will show BJP who is Baahbubali in the forthcoming Assembly elections, due in the state in November-December this year”, said Congress spokesperson Shobha Ojha.
