Bhopal: This might sound a bit weird, but MBBS students in Madhya Pradesh have now been given the option of writing their exams in Hinglish (a combination of Hindi and English), if they have no command over either of the language.

Madhya Pradesh Medical University has given the liberty to MBBS students to choose the language they feel comfortable among Hindi, English and even Hinglish (mixture of Hindi and English) to write their exams. A circular issued by the university on May 26 read, “Following a detailed discussion, the board of studies has decided that students of all homeopathy and ayurvedic colleges affiliated with university will have the option to answer questions in their exams in English/ Hindi or mixture of the two (Hindi English). This facility is now extended to students of all faculties (MBBS, nursing, dental, unani, yoga and naturopathy)”.

The university has also decided to extend the facility to oral and practical exams. “If a technical or scientific word is not available in Hindi, a student can use that word in English,” circular stated.
