New Delhi: The AIIMS has a constituted a committee to inquire into the allegation made by Anand Rai, who exposed the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, that the question papers of this year’s entrance exam for its MBBS course were leaked. Dr Rai, an ophthalmic surgeon, in a series of tweets, posted images of question papers of the entrance examination, which was held at several centres across the country on May 28.

“MBBS entrance paper of most reputed exam AIIMS was leaked in Utrarpradesh, will put in public Domain,” tweeted Dr Rai first.

Later, in series of tweet sharing the snapshots of question paper, the doctor claimed that these were leaked from M.C. Saxena College in Lucknow when the online test was held. He also tagged the Prime Minister’s Office in his tweet and demanded a CBI enquiry into the question paper leak. According to him, the AIIMS online entrance test was held in two shifts and the snapshots clearly prove that the question papers were leaked while the examination was going on.

“Modi ji AIIMS MBBS entrance paper, Eve slot held on 28th may leaked at uttarpradesh, kindly handover matter to CBI,” he tweeted. The AIIMS reacted to the allegation, saying that it was a matter of concern and it was looking into it. Sources said that the AIIMS have informed the Crime Branch of the Delhi police about the question paper leak. Later in day, the AIIMS in a statement said, “The administration has taken cognisance of media reports of screen shots of computer screen that are being circulated in the social media. AIIMS takes these reports very seriously and has constituted a committee to inquire into the matter. The committee shall look into the matter immediately and submit a report at the earliest. AIIMS administration is also in contact with government investigation agencies in this regard. Immediate and further necessary action shall be taken once the facts are ascertained.” In his Facebook page, Dr Rai has urged PM Modi to ensure justice for meritorious students.

“Being a doctor myself, it fills my heart with sorrow seeing the hardworking and meritorious students suffer like this because of the mafias who are continuously attempting to snatch away their hardwork,” Dr Rai wrote on his Facebook post.
