Zac Efron apologises for ‘insensitive’ tweet
Zac Efron was forced to apologise for and delete a tweet that was deemed insensitive by the general public, that was about Martin Luther King Jr Day.
“I’m grateful for a couple of things today: Martin Luther King Jr and 10 million followers on Instagram. #MLKDay,” the High School Musical star wrote on Twitter. Users on the social media platform wasted no time in branding the tweet “insensitive”, with one saying, “This is one of the most offensive/diminishing/disrespectful things anyone has said in relation to MLK today. Get over yourself.” After deleting the tweet, Zac posted an apology saying, “I have nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I realise that last night’s post was completely insensitive and I apologise to anyone who I may have offended. So sorry.-"
