Unlike his action star brother, Frank Stallone sure can’t take the pain.

The younger Stallone took to Twitter shortly after Sly lost the Best Supporting actor Oscar to Mark Rylance from Bridge of Spies. He said it was a “bull***t decision”.

Sly immediately jumped in for some damage control and wrote on his Instagram. “Please understand my brother is so emotional because he is just very protective and only wants the best for me. Life is good.”

The Rocky star also sent out a congratulatory Instagram post to winner Mark Rylance. “Mark Rylance! Congratulations on your award ... could not go to a more consummate actor and gentlemen. It was a privilege . Keep punching, Mark.”

And finally, Frank Stallone took to social media to type out a formal apology.

“I want to apologise to Michael Rylance I was caught up in an emotional spin. I love my brother and wanted him to win so bad. I’m so sorry. Not enough words on Twitter to apologise to Michael Rylance I’m an artist as well and we should cherish art not criticize it,” he wrote.
