Rapper Nicki Minaj performed at a concert in Angola, Africa, on Saturday, despite being called on by human rights activists not to, to protest against the country’s president.

The concert — a Christmas concert for a company that’s part owned by Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos — was sponsored by a company that’s part-owned by the president’s family, and reportedly paid Nicki $2 million for her services.

According to Dailymail.co.uk, dos Santos has been accused of overseeing and taking part in rampant corruption in the country, but Nicki has so far not addressed any of those issues. The star even posed for a photograph with his daughter Isabel and posted it to Instagram, captioning it, “Oh no big deal... she’s just the 8th richest woman in the world. Girl power! This motivates me so much! Shout out to any woman on a paper chase.”
