Leonardo DiCaprio ate raw liver for new movie

It’s no surprise to see Leonardo DiCaprio going all out for his roles in just about every movie he acts in. But with The Revenant, he’s taken things to a whole new level. Leo, who plays a hunter that must use his survival skills to overcome the harsh North American winter in the wilderness in the movie, revealed in an interview with Variety that he ate a raw bison liver to make the scene authentic, and refused to eat the fake liver (made of jelly) that was given to him by the props team.

Describing the experience, Leo said, “The bad part is the membrane around it. It’s like a balloon. When you bite into it, it bursts in your mouth.”
