Rapper claimed his new album would release only on tidal.
Rapper Kanye West has reportedly been sued for misleading his fans by claiming that his new album The Life Of Pablo would not have an universal release, and then later doing so.
Kanye had announced on Twitter that he would be releasing the album exclusively on Jay Z’s music streaming service Tidal, thereby causing a spike of subscribers that brought it an additional $84 million, according to TMZ.com.
The plaintiff, Justin Baker-Rhett, had named Kanye and Jay Z in the lawsuit, and alleged that two million of the rappers fans had fallen for the rapper’s claims on Twitter.
