Dolph put me in hospital: Sylvester Stallone

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, veteran Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone revealed in an interview that he was once put in the hospital for four-and-a-half days by his Rocky IV co-star Dolph Lundgren.

“He hit me so hard in the chest that the next thing I knew I was on a low-altitude flight to intensive care at St. John’s Hospital surrounded by four nuns,” Sylvester said, revealing that it was part of an initiation tradition the Rocky cast followed to get them used to how boxing is in real life.

Sylvester also showed a clip of his Creed co-star Michael B. Jordan being knocked out by British boxer Tony Bellew, and said, “When a real pro hits you, it isn’t like you see in these bar-room brawls or Westerns with a big punch. It’s just ‘boom’ and next thing you know you are talking to angels.”
