Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has reportedly officially filed for divorce from husband French restaurateur Jean-Bernard after months of speculation that their 18-month-long marriage was on the rocks.
According to The Sunday Mirror the singer, who married Jean-Bernard in August 2014, cited “irreconcilable differences” and split from the Frenchman in August 2015, exactly a year after their wedding. “In the end Cheryl realised she had married too soon and had been swept away by a bit of a whirlwind romance,” a source said.
However, because Cheryl never signed a pre-nup with Jean she could lose up to half of her financial assets, which is reportedly worth around $30 million.
