Angelina Jolie Pitt is urging United Nations leaders to find an end to the Syrian conflict. On Friday, the 41-year-old actress-humanitarian visited a Syrian refugee camp in Azraq, Jordan to deliver a speech. In her speech, she urged leaders from around the world “to ask the fundamental question of what are the root causes of the Syrian conflict and what it would take to end it.”

“This is not a problem of Jordan’s making, or that Jordan should be left to bear alone. Jordan has been warning for years that they could reach a point where they on their own could do no more. The world has known about the situation here for months but no solution has been put forward,” Angelina said, adding, “Refugees want to know when can they get back to their home, they don’t want to be passive recipients of aid, they want a political solution,” it was reported on JustJared.com.

Just the previous day, Angelina also gave a speech at the United Nations summit in London. She called for an increased inclusion of women in the peacekeeping process.
