Amber Heard donates to domestic violence charity

After reaching their settlement on Tuesday where she will receive $7 million as alimony, Amber Heard, ex-wife of actor Johnny Depp, revealed that she will be giving away every penny that she got in the settlement to an organisation that works with victims of domestic abuse and another charity that deals with children.

Amber said that she previously volunteered with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles for 10 years, and made it clear that the money would be equally divided between the two charities.

“Money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and hopefully help those less able to defend themselves,” Heard was quoted by the Dailymail.
