Having worked on his game with coach Vijay Divecha, India’s top golfer Anirban Lahiri shot a six-under 66 which saw him placed third at the end of the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship.

Lahiri was one shot behind leaders Americans Steve Wheatcroft and Andrew Loupe on a breezy day at Quail Hollow.
Lahiri had three birdies on either side of the course. He was pleased to have handled the finishing stretch well. The last three holes, considered to be among the tougher finishing stretches on the PGA Tour, fetched him a birdie on the 16th and pars on 17th and 18th hole.
Shiv tied 33rd In Rabat (Morocco), Shiv Kapur had a modest start with an even par 72 that placed him tied 33rd after Round One at the Trophée Hassan II on the European Tour. Kapur was four shots behind leaders, Francesco Laporta, Thomas Linard and Jason Scrivener on 68. Meanwhile, Aditi Ashok, with two-over 146 in two rounds, staged a fightback to make the cut at the Lalla Meryem Golf Cup, in Morocco.
