Last seen in Pyaar Ka Dard, Disha Parmar is prepping for her next television show Woh Apna Sa. Disha has been away from the small screen ever since her Pyaar stint ended. Reason? “I was waiting for a powerful role. I’m excited to return to television and that too with a role that is very different from what I’ve done before. I was on board as soon as I heard the narration of my character. The show offers a lot to its actors in terms of scope for performance. I felt that this is a good show to be a part of. I hope the audiences will appreciate our creative effort,” she said.

Disha is aware that her previous character has left an indelible mark. “My first show certainly got me a lot of fame and popularity; people still remember me as my character name Pankhuri. But I’m certain that my role of Jhanvi will change that image completely as it’s very different and fresh. While my earlier role was that of an innocent and reserved girl, the character of Jhanvi is full of life, jubilant and jolly,” she adds. The actress is thankful that she her inroads into the industry have been smoother than what it has been for most of her contemporaries. “My entry into the television world wasn’t difficult at all. Unlike many who struggle a lot, I got everything easily. It was cakewalk for me as compared to so many horror stories one hears.”
